About the Practice

My practice is founded on the philosophy that the body can heal if you give it what it needs. As an integrative veterinarian, I utilize a variety of methods depending on what will be most effective to help your pet to heal. Western medicine often focuses on each individual condition affecting your pet, and can be beneficial for acute conditions requiring pharmaceuticals, surgery, etc. However, it may not identify how the different systems in the body are interconnected in whole animal health. By evaluating the animal as a whole, we can develop a more comprehensive approach to your animals health for long term solutions. This is what holistic medicine is all about. Did you know that your dogs chronic ear infections, digestive upset, and hip pain may all be related? This is an example of how Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine simplifies health conditions, and they can all be addressed at the same time. Eastern medicine can often be superior in managing chronic and/or multiple health conditions for this reason. I take a comprehensive approach to your pets health, including not only acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and/or pharmaceuticals, but also food therapy and lifestyle to aim for maximum benefit. If you would like to learn more about how this approach may benefit your pet, please schedule a complimentary phone consultation so that we can discuss your pets unique condition.
