He started the site after he and his wife adopted a rescue dog named Zoe — one day before she was scheduled to be euthanized — and spent months searching for veterinarians who could help with her chronic scratching, sneezing, and coughing when conventional treatment alone fell short.
That search led the family to integrative and holistic veterinary care, and to a frustrating realization: there was no single, easy place for pet owners to find holistic and integrative veterinarians. With a background in IT, Kevin built Holistic Vet Directory to close that gap and make the search free for pet owners.
Kevin is not a veterinarian, and nothing on this site is veterinary advice. His role is editorial — researching and organizing listings, writing and editing the pet-owner guides on the blog, and maintaining the directory’s accuracy and corrections process.
